Our History
Youth Empowerment Trust (YET) is a community based youth empowerment Centre with a main focus of providing technical education, counselling, and developmental projects for the young unemployed people in Kuwadzana and surrounding surbubs of Harare and beyond especially the less priviledged. Youth Empowerment Trust (YET), registration number: MA300/861/2011, is a non-profit making organisation founded in
August 2011. The founding principles were premised entirely on alleviating extreme levels of poverty amongst unemployed and
marginalised young people aged between 15 to 35 years in Zimbabwe,
particularly the girl child.We're Here for You
The primary beneficiaries of YET programmes are youth and young people who register for technical courses while the secondary target group is
non-registered young people who are interested in non- technical

Mr M Matemera -
Project Coordinator
A banker by experience, having spent 14 years in the banking industry before joining YET. He is a renowned Professional Counsellor with a keen interest in counselling the youth and a qualified Chartered Logistician. A master in planning, budgeting, monitoring & evaluation, and project reporting. Versatile in communication, with strong organizational, interpersonal, and coordination skills. A team leader who listens and is always open to new ideas.
Mr D Muzondo - Dressmaking Instructor
Bringing his expertise in fashion design, Douglas skillfully merges artistic vision with practical techniques to mentor students in the craft of sewing. His dynamic approach to teaching empowers students to cultivate their styles and hone their artisanal skills
Ms P Deka - Cosmetology Instructor
Is a professional who trains and guides students in the art and science of cosmetology, encompassing hair, skin, and nail care for over 6 years. She imparts both practical and theoretical knowledge, preparing students to gain confidence and expertise needed in the beauty industry.
Ms M Chiduku - Interior Design & Events Management Instructor
Monica’s expertise and embracing of the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in interior design and events management, and integrating this knowledge into the curriculum, equips students to be more competitive and sustainable in the industry.
Ms Makusha - Early Childhood Development Instructor
Her passion for pre-school children motivates her to train teachers in Early Childhood Development, equipping trainers with the knowledge and skills to nurture the holistic development of young children, encompassing physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Ms E Machino - Office Administration Attachie
Evelyn`s ambition to be a top administrator enabled her to enrol with us for superb on the job training. She supports Administrative office in clerical tasks to support the smooth functioning of an office including answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing files, ordering supplies, and providing general support to staff and visitors.
Mr M Nyandebvu - Welding Instructor
He brings over a decade of experience in the welding industry, having worked on numerous high-profile projects. His passion for practical teaching methods inspires students to excel in their skills and pursue careers in welding
